Biography
Jim Morriss is a former employee and program director of the Johnson-owned KTBC Radio Station in Austin, Texas and information director for the Association of Texas Electric Cooperatives. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1951 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in radio broadcasting.

Jim Morriss talks about starting his career at KTBC in 1951, just before graduating from UT Austin, and how his career evolved from announcer to program director and then moved into the television side. As an employee of KTBC, he recalls interactions with Lyndon and Lady Bird Johnson at the station and during occasional social events at the Johnson ranch.
