Anne Mackey

Biography

Anne Parman Mackey (1915–1987) was born in Cordell, Oklahoma. Her family moved to San Marcos when she was twelve years old. She earned both her BA and MA from Southwest Texas State Teachers College. Mackey taught English in New Braunfels, Schertz, and other Texas public schools for thirty-five years. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, Delta Kappa Gamma, and the New Braunfels Library Board, where she once served as secretary.
