LBJ100 Oral History Project

Eugene Lee discusses how he ended up attending SWT, became interested in theatre, and started the Ebony Players to provide acting opportunities for African American theatre students – which led to the Raisin in the Sun production that was then performed at the LBJ Ranch.

Lee talks about being a teacher at heart, and how his interest in sharing his experiences led to his role as artistic director of the Black Playwrights Conference and to teaching as Artist in Residence.
